A Quick Rant About a New Favorite Product: The Savor Beauty Planner

I wanted to do a quick review/shout out to the Savor Beauty Planner. Even though I know that my ADHD symptoms cannot be solved by a planner, but that doesn’t stop me from buying planners a few times per year. I will do a new series of planner reviews here, but the Savor Beauty Planner is something really special. I guess it’s a good place to start.

I found the Savor Beauty Planner in a late-night google search. My 2025 appointment book lost all dopamine, and I had started to hate it. I had a sudden inspiration: what if we could get a new planner every three months? That way, I could avoid the icky feelings that come when a planner dips into negative dopamine territory. I searched for a three-month planner, and the Savor Beauty Planner came up.

Why does a New York-based skincare company print and sell a planner? I don’t know! I think the owner of the company probably needed the same things the rest of us do – a way to organize a business, a life, a to-do list, a budget; a planner that doesn’t run out of dopamine, a planner that is easy to find the right page in. This is, by far, the best-designed planner I have ever owned.

Things I love about this planner:

  • Three-month length prevents dopamine decay into negative territory.
  • Tabs – this planner has tabs so you can flip to the week you want to see.
  • The dates at the top are blank! So you can fill it in linearly, or you can miss a few days and stretch the planner, so the entire planner gets used!
  • The worksheets are super helpful – they invite you to brain dump your entire to-do list on one page and then sort the to-do list and goals on another page. I have never had such a meaningful interaction with a worksheet.
  • The daily organization layout invites you to use four different types of organization in your to-do list. It asks for daily rituals (like take vitamins, drink water), “pull weeds” (your workie maintenance tasks), “plant seeds” (your passion projects, tasks that are good for you), and “structure your day” (how you are going to schedule your day – appointments, work blocks, etc.)
  • The extra containers where you can slap a date at the top and take notes, write down extra to-dos – I use this a lot when I need to write down notes during a phone call. I love these containers!
  • The sturdy front and back covers.
  • It’s pretty.
  •

Things I don’t like about this planner:

  • I was overwhelmed by the format when I first got it. These is a bit of a learning curve. Don’t be discouraged. It is intuitive. It’s just a very powerful tool.
  • I might recommend skipping the “self-care” section at first until you get familiar with the rest of the planner. It triggered my persistent drive for autonomy in a way the rest of the planner does not.

This planner works with my ADHD in ways most planners do not. It has increased my productivity, my ability to find things, my ability to stay organized, and my progress on personal projects like circus training, my coaching practice, and my creative pursuits.

I’m not being paid or sponsored by Savor Beauty (if Savor Beauty reads this and wants to send me a discount code, I’m on board!). It’s just so rare to find a tool that works with my brain, and when I do, I get really excited to share it with others! Here is a link to the planner:
